Funky People online is a unique portal that ties users' business, news, entrepreneurial and creative art form sources together in an online network. History:

Funky People Online was conceptualized by a group of information technology professionals who saw the need to reduce the amount of mail forwards from their colleagues and contacts. Most importantly, they wanted to devise a personal, more interactive way to connect the very savvy Internet users to other individuals as it relates to information on news, health, wealth, politics and social awareness.

In March of 2006, Terry E. Alford, Founder and CEO of Funky People, LLC, coined the banner (which was originally named for his 1990s music entertainment company, Funky People Records) and re-branded the collective with a wider vision. This time, Funky People would not just represent the creativity and interests of local artists and musicians, but would use the internet medium to also include the broader and equally talented group of professionals, business proprietors, and community service organization members. In the Spring of 2006, the first member newsletters was published, followed on August 1st, 2006 by the beta launch of the member website, FunkyPeopleOnline.com. As member interest and popluarlity increased over the first six months, Tee Alford and his team unvieled the expanded Funky People Online network, highlighting the subscriber features that you now see, like the Forum Discussion Board, Small Business Directory, Artform Gallery, Trip & Events Calendar, and independent web radio station, www.FunkyPeopleRadio.net.
