Greetings Family,

The wild madness of March, longer daylight, the warmth of Spring, Easter break, and the Miami Winter Music Conference are just around the corner!!! This is a favorite time of year for the Funky People staff, because we get to shed our winter cloak and kick a brand new season into high gear. Now let's see if we have what we need? Laptop, business cards, check. Shades, sunscreen, check and check.

Although the weather's untimely fury hindered our little ski outing, it didn't stop the NJ after work mixer. Welcome and hello again to our new friends and colleagues that we've met over the past few weeks. It's always good to connect with the many new and old personalities that have been introduced to our new website.

This March edition of the community newsletter has some revised sections that should make site browsing a bit clearer and easier. In the coming weeks you'll notice new e-zine spotlight features as well. Nothing has changed in the department of information though. Expect to still get plenty of e-bits to read and share. Our goal is continue to broaden your scope of interests and awareness with info that we find on the internet. Older newsletters are catalogued in the Archives area and the Business Directory is always a good resource to bookmark.

How do FP members help the network? Simple. You send ideas to present or forward e-mails you receive to post to the Funky People Online audience to staff@FunkyPeopleonline.com. The Member Forum-Bulletin Board is based on posts and features on insightful news stories, job leads, press announcements, local community info, and event advertisements that our members submit. (When sending content suggestions, where applicable, please include the writer/publisher/web link credits to verify validity.) If you know anyone who would be interested in our activities, use the "Tell a friend form". Or link to us easily at Linked In and at www.myspace.com/funkypeopleonline.

UPDATE: Know why we're headed to the Winter Music Conference? For six days, over 20,000 music producers, remixers, deejays, artists, bands, industry reps, promoters, and the fans who love and support the vast independent music culture, will converge on South Beach Miami for this annual networking event. Those wishing to learn more about the music business can attend panels and forum discussions led by industry leaders and performers during the daytime. Fans of the soul, club and dance music scene will be in large attendance to check out many of the dozens of international artist/dj showcases, label parties, awards shows, and technology showcases that will be scheduled around-the-clock at venues all over Miami. Basically you'll get to meet who's hot or get the buzz first on the hot new songs/remixes for the year. The 23rd WMC, is by all standards a high visibility international music event and the Funky People staff is excited to be in attendance again this year! Be there in person or in spirit as we continue to expand our professional, creative circles, while promoting soul artists, producers, and deejays via our new Funky People Radio station and online business network. Our developers have finally identified the software glitch preventing uploads to our eClassifieds directory. To avoid further small surprises, we're upgrading a new set of directories. (The inner workings of computers are so delicate at times, lol) Things look to be ready for fully functional eClassifed advertisements later this month. Thank you again for your patience during this unexpected service outage.

Have a Happy Easter and safe Spring Break vacation with your families!
